The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) board chairperson Prof: Sody Munsaka Mweetwa, led a delegation from the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI) of Ghana to pay a courtesy call on the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Technology and Science Dr. Brilliant Habeenzu.In his welcoming remarks Dr. Habeenzu expressed the ministry’s willingness and openness to further collaborations with Ghana, emphasizing that the visit presents a valuable opportunity for both countries to exchange knowledge and strengthen their existing relationship.During the visit to Zambia, the delegation from MESTI engaged with the NSTC to understand the day-to-day operations of a Science Granting Council and how NSTC's mandate is executed in Zambia. The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) is honored to welcome a distinguished delegation from Ghana's Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESTI). The 3 day peer-to-peer learning exchange aims to cultivate meaningful knowledge sharing and exchange of best practices in the management of science, technology, and innovation (STI), as Ghana progresses toward establishing its own Science Granting Council.During their visit, the delegation will engage with the NSTC to understand the day-to-day operations of a Science Granting Council and how NSTC's mandate is executed in Zambia. Zambia is hosting a 2-day consultative workshop on the development of a generic commercialization and technology transfer framework in Lusaka. The workshop organized by the NSTC and AEH has drawn participation from Science Granting Council’s (SGC’s) from Botswana, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Mozambique, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.Minister for Technology and Science, Hon.
